Three Kashmiri students arrested in India for cheering Pakistan cricket team

Agra (Uttar Pradesh, India), October 28 (KMS): Three Kashmiri students who were booked in Agra in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh for posting on social media in favour of Pakistan cricket team in the T20 World Cup match, have been arrested by police.

The Kashmiri students were studying in an engineering college in Agra. The police arrested them from their hostel after BJP workers filed a complaint against them.

The students have been identified as Arshad Yousuf, Inayat Altaf Sheikh and Showkat Ahmed hail from Budgam and Bandipora districts. Earlier the BJP workers had protested at the college campus and filed a complaint against them with the police.

Thousands of Kashmiri students are studying in various colleges in different Indian states. The incident of booking three Kashmiri students and arresting them has raised concern and fear among these students.
