PDP holds demo against civilian killings in IIOJK

Srinagar, October 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) staged a protest demonstration in Srinagar against series of civilian killings in the territory in the past one week.

The PDP workers tried to march from the party headquarters in Srinagar towards the city center Lal Chowk. However, Indian police throttled their attempt and confined them to the premises of their party office.

Earlier, addressing a press conference at the party office, PDP leader, Suhail Bukhari demanded resignation of Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha over the civilian killings in the territory. He said Sinha has lost his moral authority to continue his job in the territory following the recent killing of the civilians.

He said for the past two years, Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has been directly controlling the situation in the valley and look what it has led us to, today.

Suhail Bukhari said, the onus lies on the Indian government and its administration in the territory for the deteriorating situation in the occupied territory. “No Kashmiri is feeling safe today. The situation has worsened here. We demand immediate resignation of the LG,” he said.
