Arrest, killing spree by Indian troops in IIOJK condemned

Srinagar, October 06 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Kashmir Freedom Front (KFF), a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has strongly condemned the arrest and killing spree unleashed by Indian troops and police across the territory.

The KFF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said killings, torture and arrests have failed to suppress the freedom sentiments of the Kashmiris who have rendered unparallel sacrifices for the Kashmir cause. He said the Kashmiri people will continue their peaceful struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.

The spokesman urged India to shun its stubborn approach and resolve the Kashmir dispute for ensuring permanent peace in the region. He deplored the silence of the world community on the atrocities being committed by Indian forces’ personnel against the innocent and unarmed people of IIOJK. He appealed to the world to impress upon India to take steps for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The spokesman called upon the world human rights organisations including the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and International Committee of Red Cross to take cognizance of the plight of the illegally detained Kashmiris and play role in their release.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Mass Moment Information Secretary, Shabbir Ahmed, in a statement said since the BJP came into power, India has become a Hindu-dominated society where minorities face oppression or prejudice on a daily basis. He said that it was unfortunate that the international community had maintained a criminal silence on the Indian atrocities in IIOJK.
