World urged to hold India accountable for its war crimes in IIOJK

Islamabad, September 22 (KMS): The Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Mehmood Ahmad Saghar has urged the world community to redouble its efforts to resolve the long-pending Kashmir dispute to bring an end to the continued bloodshed and state terrorism the India’s fascist regime is committing in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Mahmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad while drawing international community’s attention towards fast deteriorating political and human rights situation in IIOJK said that the region has been on the brink of disaster since the Modi-led apartheid regime assumed power in New Delhi in 2014. Under Modi’s fascist regime, he said, situation in Kashmir has pushed deeper into chaos and uncertainty, which has caused further insecurity and uneasiness amongst the Kashmiris who have been caught between the crosshairs of the conflict and state terrorism.

Denouncing the BJP’s muscular policies towards Kashmir, the DFP leader said that it was high time that the world community should take cognizance of the stepped-up Indian state terrorism in IIOJK and initiate an inquiry into the war crimes being committed by Indian troops deployed in length and breadth of the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, in a separate statement, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar thanked the Turkish President, Recep Tayyib Erdogan, for raising the Kashmir dispute vociferously during his speech to the UN General Assembly. He said Turkey has always supported the Kashmir cause and raised the issue consistently at every world forum.
