Protest in Jammu against New Delhi’s colonial policies in IIOJK

Jammu, September 19 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the United Peace Alliance in collaboration with several other sociopolitical organizations, today, took out a protest against colonial policies of New Delhi in the territory.

Speaking on the occasion, Mir Shahid Saleem, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement said that by abrogating Articles 370 and 35A and thereafter tempering with the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir, India is hell bent upon destroying everything in Jammu and Kashmir.

He deplored that what the East India Company did to the British India New Delhi is doing to Jammu and Kashmir. He said our jobs, land rights, natural resources all are being destroyed by the anti-Jammu Kashmir policies of New Delhi. He said after snatching our political and democratic rights, New Delhi is now snatching resources from the local people of the Jammu and Kashmir.

He said Modi led regime is changing the demography of Jammu and Kashmir through creating settlements for outsiders and there is an all-out cultural and political onslaught in Jammu and Kashmir.

Mir Shahid Saleem called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to launch a united battle against the anti-people policies of New Delhi which is hell bent upon plundering everything in Jammu and Kashmir.

The protest was also addressed by noted Dalit leader RK Kalsotra, Israr Qazi, Ishtiaq Bhatti, Varender Singh, Satish Gautam, Nazir Hussain and others.
