APHC urges world to save Kashmiris from Modi’s onslaught

Srinagar, September 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, has urged the international community to recognize the gravity of situation in the territory and show urgency in saving the Kashmiris from Modi-led fascist Indian government’s onslaught against them.

Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar said that following recent statements by the UN Human Rights chief and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation regarding the grim situation in IIOJK, it had become more pressing for the global bodies to shun their policy of issuing mere statements on Kashmir and take practical steps for the resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute.

The APHC leader said that the Kashmiri people had been facing the Indian brutalities and illegal occupation of their motherland for over seven decades. However, he deplored that graph of Indian repression had sharply risen in Kashmir following Modi government’s illegal actions of repealing the special status of IIOJK in August, 2019.

Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar pointed out that half-hearted measures taken by the world so far with respect to Kashmir had only emboldened New Delhi to continue its aggressive policies in the territory. He maintained that Modi’s Hindutva government must realize that its militaristic tactics and illegal moves would further aggravate the situation in IIOJK

The APHC leader reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue their struggle against all odds till the final and just solution of the Kashmir dispute is achieved.

He warned that delay in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute would have serious consequences for the whole world. He urged the world human rights organizations to put pressure on India to end its state terrorism in the territory and create a conducive atmosphere for resolving the dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
