Srinagar, September 14 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement (JKPRM), welcoming the UN Special Rapporteurs’ remarks regarding the custodial killing of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Shaheed Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, and illegal arrest of his sons after his funeral in Kupwara district.
The Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement leader, Dr Musaib Ahmad, addressing party meeting in Srinagar urged the UN to send its teams to IIOJK to take stock of the ground situation of the occupied territory.
He expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and IIOJK.
He said that Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman’s death in Udhampur jail in Jammu region and arrest of his two sons after the funeral clearly indicated the atrocities and injustice faced by the people of IIOJK.
He said it is the responsibility of the UN to settle the Kashmir dispute by implementing its relevant resolutions to protect the lives of the people of IIOJK.
The party urged immediate release of Hurriyat leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Dr Abdul Hameed Fayyaz, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Muhammad Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Syed Shahid Yousuf, Syed Shakeel Yousuf, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Muhammad Yusuf Falahi, Zahoor Ahmed Butt, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai, Hayat Ahmed Butt, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Ghulam Qadir Butt, Muhammad Shafi Shariati, Showkat Hakeem, Merajuddin Nanda, Waheed Ahmad Gojri, Mehmood Toopewali, Feroz Aadil Zargar and Hayat Ahmad Butt.
