Sarjan Barkati’s detention termed as India’s frustration

Islamabad, September 08 (KMS): Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Deputy Chairman, Tehreek-e-Fikr-o-Aiteqad, has strongly condemned the continued illegal detention of the party chief, Maulana Sarjan Barkati at Rapin police station in Shopian, occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Manzoor Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Islamabad termed the detention Maulana Sarjan Barkati as the frustration of Modi-led fascist Indian government. He said that Barkati had been under constant surveillance of the police since the day of martyrdom of the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani.

He said that the Indian government had tried to create fear and panic among the Kashmiris by imposing curfew and restrictions on the demise of the beloved leader Syed Ali Gilani. He, however, made it clear that fascist Modi regime could not subdue the Kashmiris through such cowardly acts.

Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah said that Kashmiri people are committed to carry out the mission of Syed Ali Gilani to its logical conclusion.
