Taliban’s takeover in Kabul triggers anti-Muslim hate in India


Islamabad, September 05 (KMS): The return of Taliban to power in Afghanistan has given yet another excuse to Hindu extremists to unleash a new wave of Islamophobia against Muslims in India.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said Muslim politicians, writers, journalists, social media influencers and everyday citizens have become the targets of a hate campaign launched by the country’s right wing, including members of the governing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

It deplored that the Indian Muslim minority had become the Hindu right wing’s target in a new hate campaign after the Taliban’s victory in Afghanistan, adding since the fall of Kabul, Indian TV channels have run shows portraying Muslims as Taliban defenders

The report said, hate attacks on India’s Muslims, including public lynchings and targeting of their businesses, have become a daily affair in India and Hindu supremacist have created hysteria against the Taliban and Muslims. KMS—15A
