KMS, social media platforms spreading fake news, IIOJK IGP tries to cover Indian follies

Srinagar, September 05 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, instead of giving some space to the pro-freedom camp in the face of unrelenting atrocities perpetrated by Indian forces, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir region, Vijay Kumar has claimed that Kashmir Media Service (KMS) and social media platforms from Pakistan, are spreading fake news and videos about situation in the territory.

Vijay Kumar in a statement in Srinagar also said that some Srinagar-based media persons and channels have also been found spreading fake news.

He urged people not to pay any heed to the campaign of anti-India elements especially across the border claiming that it was meant to disturb the “peaceful atmosphere in the valley”.

“We are observing it, maintaining evidence and appropriate actions shall be taken against them. Such elements are advised not to spread fake news without consulting law enforcement agencies. Moreover, all the police and forces’ personnel have been sensitised regarding facilitating students appearing in different examinations,” he further stated.
