Lawsuits against Gilani’s family denounced

Srinagar, September 05 (KMS): Hurriyat leaders have condemned the registration of a case against the family members of the martyred veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani on the charge of sloganeering on his death.

Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjab Peace Foundation Chairman Hanif Kalis in a statement in Jammu said that the registration of the case against the family members of Syed Ali Gilani by Modi regime is based on malafide intentions. He said that Indian rulers were committing worst types of human rights violations in IIOJK.

Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League while denouncing the action by the fascist Indian regime said that it was utter violation of fundamental human rights. A JKML delegation visited the grave of Syed Ali Gilani and offered fateha for the departed soul.

The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad on Sunday said that restrictions on the funeral of Syed Ali Gillani and the lawsuits against his family are disgraceful scars on the so-called democratic face of India. Uzair said that Syed Ali Gilani fought for freedom from India till the last breath of his life. He said that the people of Kashmir will complete the unfinished mission of their great leader and the historic struggle of Baba-e-Hurriyat will surely succeed.

He said that Syed Ali Gilani will always be remembered as a great leader as he continuously struggled for the freedom and rights of the oppressed and subjugated Kashmiri people in Indian illegally occupied KJammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Ghazali added that seizing the corpse of the veteran leader at gunpoint and forcibly burying it in the dark is an ugly stain on the face of India’s so-called democracy. He said that the registration of cases against the family of Syed Ali Gilani was an act of panic and open permission to spread terrorism in IIOJK by the rulers of India.

“Syed Ali Gilani always raised his voice for dignity and human rights in Palestine, Bosnia, Chechniya, Burma and all over the world, particularly in IIOJK”, he maintained.
