Muzaffarabad, September 03 (KMS): The funeral prayers in absentia were offered for the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader and the face of Kashmir resistance movement, Syed Ali Gilani, across Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
People in large numbers attended the funeral prayers held for Syed Ali Gilani in different cities of AJK including Muzafferabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Bhimber, Bagh, Neelum, Jehlum Valley, Poonch, Sudhnoti, Haveli, Barnala, Samahni. Special prayers were also offered for the Kashmir’s early freedom from India’s illegal occupation.
The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is observing 3 days mourning at the state level to pay tribute to Syed Ali Gilani for his contribution and sacrifices in the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for securing their right to self-determination.
