‘Pakistanis salute his courageous struggle’
Islamabad, September 01 (KMS): The Prime Minister of Pakistan expressing deep grief and sorrow over the death of veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that he had struggled throughout his life for his people and their right to self-determination.
Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Kashmiri freedom fighter Syed Ali Geelani who struggled all his life for his people & their right to self determination. He suffered incarceration & torture by the Occupying Indian state but remained resolute.

PM Imran Khan in a tweet said, “Deeply saddened to learn of the passing away of Kashmiri freedom fighter Syed Ali Geelani who struggled all his life for his people & their right to self-determination.”
Recalling Syed Ali Gilani’s courageous struggle, the Pakistan’s premier said, “He suffered incarceration and torture by the occupying Indian state but remained resolute.”
Imran Khan further said, “We in Pakistan salute his courageous struggle & remember his words: “Hum Pakistani hain aur Pakistan Humara hai”.”
“The Pakistan flag will fly at half-mast and we will observe a day of official mourning,” the premier announced.
