APHC, TeH warn authorities of strong agitation in case of Gilani’s forcible burial

Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) Jammu and Kashmir have warned the authorities that strong agitation will be launched if they resorted to forcible burial of the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani.

Syed Ali Gilani, who had been kept under continued house arrest by the Indian authorities at his Hyderpora residence for the last over a decade, passed away on Wednesday late evening at his home.

The APHC and TeH have appealed to the people to assemble at Hyderpora from where the body of Syed Ali Gilani will be taken to the Martyrs’ Graeyard at Eidgah in Srinagar in a procession for burial as per the will of the veteran leader.

However, the authorities have imposed restrictions in the entire occupied territory to prevent massive participation of the people in the funeral of their beloved leader. The authorities are also making preparations for the burial of Syed Ali Gilani in Hyderpora where a grave is reportedly being dug up.

The APHC and TeH have asked the Kashmiri people to defy the restrictions and massively participate in the funeral of Syed Ali Gilani.
