Traders of downtown Srinagar demand augmentation of basic facilities

Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, traders of downtown areas in Srinagar have demanded augmentation of basic facilities.

The traders have demanded parking facilities and expansion of garbage collection.

“We have been demanding dedicated parking facilities in downtown from past several years, but to no avail,” said Nazir Ahmad Shah, Chairman of Shahr-e-Khaas Traders Coordination Committee.

“We are facing huge losses due to lack of parking facilities in Zaina Kadal, Maharaj Gunj and Bohri Kadal areas,” he added.

The traders said they in consultation with the authorities had identified a spot at Zaina Kadal for construction of parking facility. “However, despite several years, authorities failed to develop it into parking. In absence of parking facilities, customers and visitors face immense problems,” they said.
