Pak Army Chief’s remarks on Kashmir welcomed

Islamabad, August 21 (KMS): Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement (JKMM), Abdul Majeed Mir has welcomed the Friday’s address of Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa at Kakul in Abbottabad.

The COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa particularly recalled plight of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) due to Indian state repression who are under the worst military occupation in human history. The COAS said, “Our hearts beat with Kashmiri people. We will continue to stand with them always and ever.”

Abdul Majeed Mir in a statement issued in Islamabad said, the Army Chief in his address truly represented the people of Kashmir, adding that his address was according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people which boosted morale of the Kashmiri people. He said that India should positively respond to the address of the Pakistan Army Chief.

He said that the Army Chief of Pakistan, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has thrown the ball in the Indian Court to resolve the Kashmir dispute and now it is the responsibility of the global community to convince New Delhi to take steps for settlement of the lingering dispute.

He said that Pakistan always advocated the feelings of Kashmiris and expressed the hope that it would continue to raise the issue at every international forum.
