New Delhi, August 19 (KMS): India registered 36,401 fresh Covid-19 cases and 513 deaths due to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, as per the latest data released by the Indian Health Ministry.
The maximum fatalities due to Covid-19 were reported in Kerala with 179 daily deaths, followed by Maharashtra with 158.
The five states, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka registered over 85 per cent of the new cases.
