US Congressmen urged to speak out against grave HR abuses in IIOJ&K

Washington, August 05 (KMS): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Asad Majeed Khan, has urged key American Congressmen to speak out against the grave human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In a letter to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs Committee, he stressed the members to call upon New Delhi to peacefully resolve the long-standing Kashmir dispute through dialogue.

The Pakistani envoy said with 900,000 Indian military and paramilitary personnel standing watch over 8 million people, Kashmir remains one of the most highly militarized zones in the world.
