Extends full support to APHC’s 10-day resistance calendar
Srinagar, August 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir has strongly condemned the atrocities perpetrated on unarmed Kashmiris by the RSS-backed Narendra Modi led fascist Indian government and the colonial and imperialist measures employed by it to force the people of the territory abandon their freedom struggle.
A special meeting of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami was held under the chairmanship of Khadim Hussain at party office in Badgam. The meeting discussed in detail the ongoing deteriorating situation in the occupied territory and Indian machinations against the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement.
The participants of the meeting said that New Delhi had crossed all limits of cruelty and oppression against the Kashmiris who were engaged in a just struggle of getting their motherland freed from India’s illegal occupation. They said that the recent orders of the IIOJK’s administration to deprive the Kashmiri youth of passports and jobs were a clear example of the colonial tactics being used in the territory.
It was said in the meeting that India wants to silence every voice in Kashmir by using its military might but it should bear in mind that those yearning freedom can’t be subdued through brutal tactics. The TWI leaders said the Kashmiri youth are treading the path shown by Imam Hussain (RA) in Karbala and they will continue to defy Indian illegal rule, come what may.
Announcing its full support to the APHC’s Ashura-e-Muzhamat (10-day Resistance) calendar from August 5-15, the TWI urged the Kashmiris to make all programs in this regard a success and remind India in no uncertain terms that they will never accept its illegal occupation.
At the end of the meeting, rich tributes were paid to all the Kashmiri martyrs and prayers were offered for the elevation of their ranks.
Apart from Khadim Hussain, General Secretary Fayyaz Ahmed, Chief Organizer Ali Mohammad, Spokesperson Shahid Ali, Information Secretary Syed Mohammad Abadi, Office Incharge Wajid Ali, District Srinagar President Shabbir Hussain, District Badgam President Amjad Ali and District Bandipore President Ali Muhammad Iqbal also attended the meeting.
