Cloudbursts wreak havoc in 4 villages of Ganderbal

Srinagar, August 02 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudbursts have damaged roads, houses and crops at several places in Ganderbal district.

The cloudbursts damaged property and farm land in Bagh Pati Surfraw, Sumbal Bala Gund, Dard Wuddar and Yachhama villages of the district.

The incident triggered flash floods damaging roads and farm land, and water entered the houses while a brick factory also suffered damage at Bagh Pati in Surfraw area.

Sub-Divisional Kangan Hakim Tanvir told media men that a link road connecting Ganewan and Sumbal has been damaged and efforts are on to restore this road. He said crops on farm land comprising 150 kanals have been damaged while a brick factory too has sustained losses.

“We are assessing the losses and affected people will be compensated,” he added.
