APHC-AJK holds demo in Islamabad against Indian atrocities in IIOJK

Islamabad, July 16 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held a protest demonstration in front of Faisal Masjid in Islamabad, today, against the unabated killing spree, destruction of property and harassment of people by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Holding banners and placards, the protesters raised slogans against India and in favour of Kashmir’s freedom from Indian yoke.

The Hurriyat leaders addressing on the occasion deplored that the Indian troops had made the life of Kashmiris more miserable as innocent people, particularly youth, were being killed on daily basis in the garb of the so-called cordon and search operations. The Hurriyat leaders maintained that India could not break the will of Kashmiris by extra-judicial killings, arresting Hurriyat leaders and booking them under draconian laws.

They said that India was trying to suppress the Kashmiris’ voice for right to self-determination and freedom from India, but would never succeed in its sinister designs. India is also trying to turn the Muslim majority of IIOJK into a minority as it is settling non-state people in the territory, they deplored.

The Hurriyat leaders also paid glowing tributes to Kashmiri youth recently martyred by Indian troops in different areas of the occupied territory. They maintained that the Kashmiris will accomplish the mission of their martyrs at all costs.

They condemned the Indian oppression and demanded of the global community to take serious notice of the Indian state terrorism in IIOJK. They urged the international community to help settle the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
