Indian media claims drone was trying to record diplomatic event at Indian HC in Islamabad
Islamabad, July 02 (KMS): In its efforts to implicate Pakistan in the ongoing drama of drone attacks on the Indian Air Force Station in Jammu, Indian media claimed that a drone was spotted hovering inside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, last week.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian media claimed that the drone was allegedly attempting to capture a diplomatic event that was being held at the mission on the night of June 26.
The Indian media said the incident happened hours before the drone attacks on Indian Air Force Base in Jammu. Two Indian Air Force personnel were sustained minor injuries in Jammu Air Base incident.
“On Saturday at about 22:15 hours while we had a function underway near the residential area inside the Indian High Commission, we saw a drone hovering over us which came in twice,” a top diplomat told CNN-News18 this (Friday) morning. The report quoting another source said that a ‘Bollywood night’ was being held then.
“It was possibly recording our function which was a curtain raiser event on India’s 75th Independence Day but we can’t be sure of their intention”, the diplomat further said.
