IIOJK situation worsening with each passing day: Behl

Jammu, July 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum (JKSPF) has said that the situation in the territory is going from bad to worst with every passing day.

The JKSPF Chairman, Advocate Divender Singh Behl addressing a party meeting in Jammu deplored that the killing of innocent people in the territory by Indian troops has become a routine matter. He said that besides killings the innocent Kashmiri people, especially youth, were being arrested and put behind the bars.

He said that the condition of Kashmiri political prisoners languishing in different jails was miserable and the courts failed to provide justice to them, adding the fascist Indian regime is using every tactic to delay their trial and prolong their illegal detention.

Advocate Divender Singh Behl further said that the international community could not remain a silent spectator in such a grave situation. It is its responsibility to take note of the situation, persuade India to start dialogue for settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute and give people of disputed territory the chance to decide their future.

Besides Advocate Behl, Sardar Surjeet Singh, Ram Lal Bhagat, Chunni Ram, Mohammad Hussain, Irshad Ahmad, Arif Chaudhry, Jaspal Singh, Mandeep Singh, Sham Singh, Inder Singh, Fakir Chand, Parvinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Avatar Singh, Parkash Singh, Daljeet Singh, Charpreet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Harbans Singh and Tajinder attended the meeting.
