Srinagar, June 19 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities have released Peoples Democratic Party leader Sartaj Madni.
The development comes amid the reports that Indian Prime Minister is likely to invite the political leaders of IIOJK for talks in New Delhi on Thursday (June 24).
Sartaj Madni is the maternal uncle of PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti.
A senior police officer confirmed to media the release of Madni.
Sartaj Madni was detained from his residence in Islamabad town on August 06, 2019, a day after Narendra Modi-led Indian fascist government repealed special status of IIOJK and put it under military siege.
Later, he was moved to Kashmir International Conference Centre Srinagar and placed under detention with other leaders who are now being invited to hold talks. On February 05, last year, he was shifted to a government guest house at Gupkar in Srinagar.
