Srinagar, June 17 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation led by APHC leader and Chairman of Gujjar Pahari Democratic Forum, Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, visited Gujjar families in Turk Pathri and Janam Pathri areas of Shopian and expressed solidarity with them over demolition of their houses by the occupation authorities.
The authorities had demolished the houses of Gujjar-Bakarwal community and brutally tortured the members during the eviction drive in the areas.
Chaudhry Shaheen on the occasion denounced the authorities for depriving the Gujjar Bakrwal community of their lands in Kashmir and Jammu regions. He said that they were now forced to live in tents and rented houses.
The APHC leader said that these people were being targeted for their commitment to the freedom cause. He said that Modi regime had deprived the Kashmiri people of all classes of their right to live in the occupied territory.
Members of the Gujjar community on the occasion thanked the Hurriyat leader for his support.
