JKLF north America chapter vows to continue struggle
New York, June 15 (KMS): The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) North America chapter has vowed to continue the struggle for Jammu and Kashmir’s freedom from Indian illegal occupation.
The JKLF North America chapter in a meeting of senior party leaders in New York, in a unanimous voice vowed to continue the struggle for liberation of Jammu and Kashmir under the dynamic leadership of illegally detained party chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik. The meeting was presided over by the former JKLF president of America, and the other participants were Haleem Khan (Plandari, present NY), Sardar Haleem Khan (Rawlakot, present NY), Mehmood Bhatti, Ashraf Gulshan, Mukhtar Ahmed Raja, Sardar Mushtaq, Abdullah Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudhry while as Enayat Mir from Atlanta, US, was on telephone line.
In order to draw the attention of the international community and to get the support of important world leaders, the participants in powerful countries like America vowed to project the long-pending Kashmir dispute in its true perspective. They also decided to highlight the gross human rights violations committed by Indian occupational troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They reiterated the pledge that nobody will be allowed to compromise the oneness and the territorial integrity of Jammu and Kashmir whose inhabitants have so for rendered unprecedented sacrifices for a sacred cause of freedom. They also vowed to expose the sinister designs of India in IIOJK which is hell bent upon changing the demography of the territory and tarnish the unique identity of the Kashmiri people.
In a statement issued from party’s central information office by chief spokesman Muhammad Rafiq Dar, the participants in the meeting dissolved the party structure and formed a five member convening committee for North America led by its newly elected convener Mukhtar Ahmed Raja. According to the decision taken in the meeting, the other four members of the convening committee are Haleem Khan, Ashraf Gulshan, Mehmood Bhatti and Sardar Haleem Khan. Soon after taking charge, the committee members started contacting other party leaders and members in America for party convention to be held in the last week of this month wherein a large number of participants are expected to participate, the spokesman added.
According to the spokesman, the JKLF senior leader and former JKLF president of North America Haleem Khan shall continue representing the US in JKLF Central Convening Committee. He further added that the other members shall also be elected later in the process at the due course of time.
