Pakistan cannot leave Kashmiris alone at any stage: Dr Alvi

Islamabad, June 07 (KMS): President Dr Arif Alvi has said that Kasshmiris’ right to self-determination according to the United Nations resolutions is the national stand of Pakistan.

Dr Arif Alvi talking to former Ameer of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Jamat-e-Islami and Chairman of Public Accounts Committee, AJK, Abdul Rashid Turabi at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad, today, said that Pakistan could not leave Kashmiris alone at any stage.

The President said that India, despite using all cheap tactics, had badly failed to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment. He added that the government of Pakistan was trying its best to highlight the Kashmir dispute at international forums

Abdul Rashid Turabi on the occasion expressed concern that India was taking steps to change the demography of Jammu Kashmir by settling Hindu extremist and non-Kashmiris in the occupied territory. He deplored that event the Hurriyat leaders were also being targeted. Senior APHC leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai was martyred in custody by India in jail, he added. He said, the lives of other Kashmir leaders in Indian prisons are also in danger.

Abdul Rashid Turabi also appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan for projecting Kashmir dispute and Indian brutalities in IIOJK at international level.
