Mehbooba targets India over Amarnath Yatra decision

Jammu, June 07 (KMS): As Lieutenant Governor of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, met Indian Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi to discuss details about the annual Amarnath yatra in Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti said that decision about commencement of the yatra would have nothing to do with the opinions of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Former IIOJK chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti during a media interview in Srinagar when asked whether National Conference should take part in delimitation commission, she said, ” I read somewhere that NC is joining hands with BJP in Leh, so they will be better answerable whether they will participate or not.”

Meanwhile, in a tweet, the PDP chief said the booking of the 15-year-old boy under UAPA “is yet another example of institutionalised tyranny. Not being satisfied with converting Kashmir into an open air prison where dissent is crushed this regime is now going after children. Does anyone in the country care?”

She said, “On the other hand UAPA is imposed on 15 year old children, they are being kept in jails. The administration aims to discourage dissent in the Kashmir Valley by accusing it of petty crimes even under strict security legislation. But this has further alienated the people”.
