IIOJK people observe blackout against Indian occupation
Srinagar, June 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people all across the territory observed complete blackout, today, between 8:00pm to 9:00pm, as a mark of resistance against India’s continued illegal occupation of their homeland, its state terrorism and the machinations to suppress the Kashmir freedom movement.
Call for the observance of the blackout was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other Hurriyat leaders, organizations and activists of civil society and representatives of trade unions.
As the clock struck 8:00pm, the people all across the territory switched off all the lights of their homes to show their resentment against the Indian atrocities in the occupied territory.
The APHC said that the blackout was a symbol of the Kashmiris’ protest against the Indian tactics to erase their unique identity through illegal actions taken by Modi regime on August 05, 2019. It maintained that the Kashmiris had always showed resistance and fought against the oppressors and invaders.
