APHC condemns arbitrary, illegal arrests in IIOJK

Srinagar, June 04 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has condemned the arbitrary and illegal arrests by Indian forces’ personnel across the territory.

The APHC Working Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar castigated the Modi-led communal Indian government for its cruel attitude towards the IIOJK people whose fundamental rights have been trampled down by the fascist regime.

He said it is a matter of grave concern that the oppressed people of the occupied territory are treated as slaves and denied al basic human rights recognised by the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, 1948. The IIOJK people have been left at the mercy of more than one million Indian forces, he deplored.

Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar urged the United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take appropriate steps to resolve the long-pending Kashmir dispute and stop gross human rights violations, including killings, illegal detentions, frequent use of draconian laws and the deteriorating economic condition of the subjugated people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that the world community in the modern era of globalization of human rights must implement its noble cause of universal justice and shun the double standards, as be it East Taimor, Sudan, Palestine or Kashmir, it is the human blood of the same colour which demands equal respect and a right to live a free life in all respects.
