Srinagar, May 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Ummat-e-Islami (UeI) has paid tributes to the prominent Hurriyat leaders, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, as well as the victims of Hawal massacre on their martyrdom anniversaries.
The UeI spokesman addressing a meeting held in Islamabad town, today, said that the visionary leaders laid down their lives for the people of Kashmir and their freedom. He said that both the leaders had offered exemplary contribution to the cause of Kashmir.
Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, he said, offered countless sacrifices for the people of Kashmir and represented their religious and political sentiments. His death has created a vacuum which is very difficult to fill, the spokesman added.
Calling Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone a visionary leader, the UeI spokesman said that he time and again proved his brilliance with his resilience and decisions. “He laid down his life for the people of Kashmir and for the fact that future generations can live a better life,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, various clerics of Jammu Kashmir Ummat-e-Islami also paid tributes to the martyred leaders in mosques throughout South Kashmir during their Friday sermons. They also held Fateha Khawani for the martyred leaders.
