G M Nagoo condemns India for imposing restrictions in IIOJK
Srinagar, May 21 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Harriet Conference has condemned the use of brute force and imposition of strict curfew to prevent people from offering homage to their martyred leaders and mourners who were killed ruthlessly by the Indian agencies and their mentors in uniform in 1990 and 2002 on this day.
Indian authorities intensified curfew and other restrictions in IIOJK, today, to prevent a march and prayer meetings announced by the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, on the martyrdom anniversaries of prominent martyred Hurriyat leaders, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, as well as the victims of Hawal massacre.
The APHC Chief Spokesperson, Ghulam Muhammad Nagoo, in a statement issued in Srinagar said it has become a routine matter in IIOJK that whenever such kind of tragedies were inflicted on the Kashmiri people they are forcibly stopped to display their love and reverence with their martyrs. He denounced the fascist Modi government’s action for blocking all roads leading to Srinagar and deploying heavy contingents of military, paramilitary and police personnel in the nook and corner of the territory to stop people from visiting Martyrs’ Graveyard at Eidgah in Srinagar and organizing protest rallies. He said such tactics cannot deter the Kashmiri people from their chosen path of freedom.
Paying rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone and martyrs of Hawal on their anniversaries, Ghulam Muhammad Nagoo reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take the ongoing resistance moment to its logical end.
Terming the repressive and oppressive measures adopted by India as more fragile than the cobweb in comparison to the freedom sentiments and the strong willpower of the brave people of Kashmir, the APHC Chief Spokesperson said it is better for India to shun its illogical stubbornness and fulfill its commitments to resolve the Kashmir dispute in the light of the UN Security Council resolutions. He urged the Indian fascist regime to read the writing on the wall in Kashmir and recognize the ground situation which has never been favourable to India despite its military power to suppress the freedom sentiments of the people of Kashmir. Use of suppression and oppression has failed utterly and shall not work anymore in future, he maintained.
Ghulam Muhammad Nagoo urged the UN Secretary General and all human rights organizations including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Committee of Red Cross and United Nations Human Rights Council to take serious note of the genocide, gross human rights abuses and frequent use of draconian laws by India to prevent people to enjoy their civil liberty in the real spirit in IIOJK. He said it has become highly imperative to resolve the Kashmir dispute and all such conflicts in the larger interests of global peace, prosperity and brotherhood. KMS—7M
