Hurriyat leaders extend eid greetings to Muslim ummah

Srinagar, May 12 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organisations have extended Eid greetings to the Muslim Ummah in general and the Kashmiri people in particular.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference General Secretary, Molvi Bashir Ahmed, in a statement in Srinagar appealed to the people of IIOJK to celebrate the Eid with austerity and share the joys of this auspicious occasion with the families of the martyred and illegally detained Kashmiris. He said Kashmiris’ will celebrate the real Eid after they will get freedom from Indian yoke.

Senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, in a statement appealed to Imam and Khateebs to hold special prayers during the congregations of Edi-ul-Fitr for the early liberation of IIOJK from the Indian occupation. He also asked the well-off Kashmiris to take care of the poor and needy people around them and include them in the Eid celebrations.

The Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir, Abdul Samad Inqilabi in his statement urged the people of the territory not to forget the martyrs, widows, orphans, detainees, and their families on this auspicious occasion of Edi-ul-Fitr.
