Srinagar, May 05 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami has strongly condemned Narendra Modi regime for increasing acts of repression against the subjugated Kashmiris.
A spokesman for Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Modi government has continued its repressive measures against unarmed Kashmiris even in the dire situation of corona. He said that the shifting of illegally detained Kashmiris from jails of the occupied territory to the jails of India severely affected by coronavirus was a manifestation of the hostility of the Indian government towards the Kashmiris.
The spokesman said that hundreds of Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders and activists, were already lodged in several Indian jails, including Tihar Jail in New Delhi, while cases of corona had also come to light in these jails. He said that the Modi government has already suppressed the freedom of the media by preventing Kashmiri journalists from reporting atrocities on Kashmiris by Indian forces in IIOJK and has now launched crackdown on Kashmiri employees as well.
The spokesman said that humanity is sobbing in the Indian occupied territory since years and now the Modi regime has aggravated their miseries by continuing with heinous acts even during the severe corona epidemic. He urged the World Health Organization and the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) to take note of the Indian atrocities on Kashmiri detainees and play their part in securing their release.
