Srinagar, March 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) on Thursday lashed at the puppet administration for its brute and callous approach and said that there was no justification for their unconstitutional and immoral policy against detainees.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that it had become a routine, disturbing and quite horrible to count bodies and situation had turned from bad to worse. »

Srinagar, March 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Farooq Ahmad Tawheedi, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Dr Muhammad Shafi, Sajjad Ahmad Lone and Umar Nazir Butt visited the residence of Hussain Fazili, Muhammad Rafiq Shah and Tariq Ahmad Dar, who were recently released from Tihar jail after 12 years.

Srinagar, March 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Jammu and Kashmir National Front Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan has expressed shock over the demise of Mukhtar Ahmad Butt of Kupwara.

The deceased was brother-in-law of Ghulam Qadir Butt of Gucchi, Kupwara, who has been languishing in jail for last 23 years. »

Srinagar, March 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High court Bar Association staged protest against slapping of draconian Public Safety Act on detainees including the elderly people in violation of law.

Addressing a host of Bar members who had gathered outside the High court complex in Srinagar to lodge protest against slapping of the PSA, Bar president Mian Abdul Qayoom said that the detainees were booked on false grounds. »

Mirwaiz-led Hurriyet holds meeting in Srinagar

Srinagar, March 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Mirwaiz-led forum has said that south Asia would continue to remain elusive until Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.

This was asserted at the joint meeting of Executive Council, General Council and Working Committee meeting of Hurriyet forum Executive Council at Rajbagh in Srinagar. The meeting was presided over by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. The participants asked for talks between all the three stakeholders of the Kashmir dispute comprising Pakistan, India and the people of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Geneva, March 02 (KMS):The Indian narrative about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is false  and a desperate attempt to divert the attention of the international community from grave human rights violations being committed in the occupied territory, Zahid Hamid, Federal Minister for Law and Justice of Pakistan told the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

Zahid Hamid speaking at the high-level segment of the ongoing 34th HRC session said, “The Indian claim that the deteriorating human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir is an internal affair of India is factually incorrect, legally untenable and in violation of the UN Security Council (UNSC) resolution.” »

Srinagar, March 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a local court has sent senior APHC leader Masarrat Aalam Butt to judicial remand till 11th of this month.

Masarrat Aalam Butt was produced before a court in Bandipora in a case lodged against him at Sumbal police station. He was remanded till March 11 by Judicial Magistrate Bandipora. The APHC leader was sent to Baramulla district jail. »

Gilani demands probe by UN into Srinagar massacres

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism, martyred fifteen Kashmiris including a woman during the last month of February.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, three of the martyrs were killed in a fake encounter. The killings rendered one woman widowed and two children orphaned. During the period, two hundred eighty seven people were injured when Indian troops and police personnel resorted to brute force and fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful protesters. Two hundred thirteen people including Hurriyet activists and youth were arrested. The troops damaged fifty one houses during the month. »

Srinagar, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani while paying glowing tributes to martyrs of Zakura and Batamaloo massacres had demanded impartial proceedings under War Crimes Tribunal of the United Nations against the Indian troops involved in such mass killings during the past twenty-seven years in the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Jammu and Kashmir had become the most militarized zone in the world and Indian troops had been involved in the killing of innocent people during the past several decades. “Till now no enquiry has been initiated against culprits nor was anyone involved in these heinous and inhuman crimes brought to book,” he added. »

Jammu, March 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peace and Territorial Integrity Forum (JKPTIF) has strongly advocated talks between Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and his Pakistani Premier, Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, in the interest of the people of Kashmir.

Addressing a one-day seminar organized by the forum in Kathua, Jammu, the JKPTIF President, ID Khajuria, said that since partition of Indian subcontinent in 1947, Jammu and Kashmir had remained the bone of contention between Pakistan and India. He advocated for a dialogue amongst all stakeholders for lasting peace in the South Asia. »

New Delhi, March 01 (KMS): Haryana’s Sports Minister, Anil Vij has said that those who are supporting Delhi University student, Gurmehar Kaur, for her campaign against the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s student organisation, are pro-Pakistan and should be thrown out of India.

The Minister, who is also a Bharatiya Janata Party leader, told the media, “Those who are supporting Gurmehar Kaur are all pro-Pakistan. Such people have no right to live in India and they should be thrown out of the country.” »
