Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities placed the Chairman of Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest, today, to prevent him from leading demonstrations against awarding of death sentence to a Kashmiri youth by an Indian court.

Call for holding of demonstrations was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to protest the biased decision of death sentence by a court in Kolkata against Muzaffar Ahmad Rather of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. »

Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Farida Behanji and Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori have condemned in strong terms the awarding of death sentence to a Kashmiri youth, Muzaffar Ahmad Rather, by an Indian court.

Mohammad Yousuf Naqash addressing a public gathering at Waghama in Bijbehara said that it was clearly a biased judgment as the victim was a Kashmiri youth.

He said India uses its judiciary against Kashmiris and Indian Muslims. He said that it had been a routine for Indian authorities to arrest Kashmiris and Indian Muslims on mere suspicions. He said after implicating the suspects in false cases, Indian authorities then use judiciary against them. “It is due to such insensitive behaviour that Kashmiris have lost faith in Indian judiciary,” he said. »

Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Mazahmat Chairman, Bilal Siddiqui, Ummat-e-Islami Chief, Qazi Yasir, and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza have said that people of Kashmir will continue their struggle for securing their right to self-determination till complete success.

According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing public gatherings in Islamabad areas, today, Bilal Siddiqui, Qazi Yasir and Mukhtar Waza stressed all religious parties to play role in the ongoing freedom struggle. They said that religious clerics hold respect and influence in masses and could play an important role in the ongoing movement. »

Srinagar, Feb 3 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader, Aga Syed Hassan Almosvi Alsafvi expressing solidarity with 27 years old Muzaffar Ahmed Rather and his family who has been awarded death sentence by an Indian court said that the Indian judiciary had again been used to punish the people of Kashmir for their political views and aspirations.

Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi while addressing a gathering in Budgam termed the verdict as murder of justice and said that oppressed Kashmiri people could only raise their voices against the injustice and would resist all efforts of oppressors and added that it was the responsibility of the international community and civil society to stop brutalities against Kashmiris. »

Srinagar, February 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, on the instructions of illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah, a party delegation, today, visited Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar and enquired about the health of the ailing APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and prayed for his speedy recovery.

The 17-year-old Ahmed Bin Qasim in his poem writes, “People o people; what does freedom mean to you?

“Nobody seeks comfort in confinement. Do you or just tell me who? Now spare a moment, imagine a man, caged and cuffed. »
