Nayeem Ahmad Khan addressing a meeting of his party in Kupwara urged the UN Human Rights Council to act against the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir before it is too late. The 34th session of the UNHRC is going on in Geneva. »

Srinagar, March 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) has strongly denounced the shifting of its illegally detained leader, Hakim-ur-Rehman Sultani, from Baramulla hospital to Kupwara jail.

The TeH in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Hakim-ur-Rehman Sultani was admitted at the hospital where he had to undergo a surgery of his broken arm. »

Srinagar, March 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the 15-year-old Insha, the symbol of pellet-rage last year, packed her bags and was helped by her parents up to the bus stop at Sedow in South Kashmir’s Shopian district as schools across Kashmir reopened after almost eight months.

Insha received a burst of pellets on her face in July last year during mass uprising after the killing of Hizb Commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani. Despite hectic efforts by her family, the girl couldn’t get back her vision. Insha is in class 10 in Green Land Higher Secondary School, Shopian. »

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, while hailing the address by Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Economic Cooperation Organisation summit in Islamabad described it as based on truth and reality. Srinagar, March 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian Home Ministry has made fresh authorisation of over 5,000 pump action guns, widely known as pellet guns, for its forces deployed in Jammu and Kashmir.

Around nine pellet guns will be available with every company comprising around 120 personnel. More than six lakh matching cartridges, commonly referred to as pellet-shots, have also been authorised, up from 1.25 lakh last year, DNA India reported. »
