Use of brute force against civilians denounced in IHK

Srinagar, June 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, pro-liberation leaders and organizations have strongly condemned the indiscriminate use of force by occupation forces against the peaceful protestors, killing and injuring several innocents.

Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Maulana Abbas Ansari said that such repressive steps by India and its agents in the occupied territory could not break the peoples’ valour and determination to fight for the freedom of their homeland. He also denounced the house arrest of liberation leaders including senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Mushtaq-ul-Islam.

Another APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi paid rich tributes to the three youth who got martyred at various places due to troops’ indiscriminate firing. He said that nobody would be allowed to change the majority of occupied Kashmir into minority.

Jamaat-e-Islami termed such acts as undemocratic and anti-people. It prayed for the peace of martyred souls and expressed solidarity with their families. It also condemned the arrest of the Jamiat-e-Ahlihadees President, Maulana Showkat Ahmad shah and other liberation leaders.

The President of High Court Bar Association (HCBA), Nazir Ahmed Ronga in a statement described the killing of youth and use of force against the protesters as state terrorism and said the puppet chief minister was accountable for each killing and injury.

Paying homage to the martyred youth, Hurriyet leader, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that blood of martyrs would not be allowed to go waste. He pointed out that resentment and hatred against India amongst Kashmiris had increased as was being demonstrated by the people during the past four days, adding that Kashmiris would continue to resist the Indian occupation till the goal of freedom was achieved.
