Judicial system fails to deliver justice in IHK

Srinagar, December 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, prominent legal experts, intellectuals and human rights activists have demanded a probe by the United Nations of the rape and subsequent murder of two Kashmiri girls by Indian troops.

The speakers including President and General Secretary of the Bar Association, Mian Abdul Qayoom and Ghulam Nabi Shaheen besides Dr Shaikh Showkat Hussain, Zaher-ud-din, Pervez Imroz, Dr Altaf Hussain and Mohammad Shafi Khan, addressing a seminar in Srinagar, today, said that the judicial system of the occupied territory had failed to deliver justice in Shopian rape and murder case. They emphasised that the Indian government was shielding the troops involved in the heinous crime and wanted to mislead the people.

Senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, talking to various delegations, which met him in Banihal, said that the All Parties Hurriyet Conference was committed to bring about a just solution of the Kashmir dispute.
