Srinagar, May 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred one more innocent youth during siege and search operation at Haihama in Kupwara.

Unidentified gunmen abducted and tortured 18-year-old Nisar Ahmad Mir at Wagoora in Pattan.

Police personnel used batons and tear gas shells against Kashmir University students who were protesting against the forced evacuation of students from campus hostels before the visit of Indian President in the University.

The acting President of the Kashmir University students Union (KUSU), Saqib Amin and the president of Kashmir University Research Scholars Association (KURSA), Parvaiz Ahmed Butt in their separate statements condemned the evacuation of students from the hostels and the police action against agitating students.

Over 30 houses were damaged due to blasts that were executed by the puppet authorities engaged in the construction of a railway line at Banihal in Ramban district on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway.  Residents staged protest demonstrations against the puppet regime’s anti-people policies.

A Junior Commissioned Officer  (JCO) of 8th KLI unit died and seven others including another JCO injured after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell in a deep gorge at Faskin on Srinagar-Jammu high way. A trooper was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a rented accommodation at Subash Nagar in Jammu.

The Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society staged a silent sit-in at Municipal Park in Srinagar today urging international organisations to impress upon India to disclose the whereabouts of disappeared persons.
