Troops martyr 4 Kashmiris, destroy 5 houses in Tral

Srinagar, March 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred four youth and destroyed five residential houses in Pulwama district. Dead bodies of the youth identified as Mohammad Amin Mir, Shabbir Ahmad Mir; Ghulam Mohammad Mir and Mohammad Khalid were recovered from the debris of four houses which were destroyed by the troops of Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force during 30-hour long siege and search operations at Dadsar in Tral area of the district.

Earlier, three Indian troops including an army captain of 42-Rashtriya Rifles, Deepak Sharma were killed and five troopers injured in the same area during a clash with Mujahideen.

Locals said that Indian army and paramilitary personnel blasted the houses by IEDs. “The troops completely sealed the area and nobody was allowed to leave or enter the area. Soon after the area was sealed, the army men planted IEDs in the houses and blew them off,” a local villager told media men. Journalists were not allowed to visit the area.

Several people including Ghulam Mohammad Mir, Mohammad Yousuf Mir, Abdul Majid, Ali Sofi and G N Sofi were injured when troopers resorted to baton charge and fired in air to disperse the mob, demanding handing over of bodies of the martyred youth. Locals told media men that villagers, who were proceeding towards the police station to get the bodies, were intercepted by the police and CRPF men. “They resorted to baton charge and fired several rounds in air. It caused panic with people running for shelter. Several people were injured,” they said.

Meanwhile, the policemen has arrested two Kashmiri youth in Indian city of Chennai. »
