Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference and Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz Jammu and Kashmir, Yasmeen Raja has said that Indian troops under a planned conspiracy are massacring Kashmiris.

Yasmeen Raja in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India wanted to crush the ongoing liberation movement in the occupied territory by use of brute force but it would never succeed in its nefarious designs. She said that the Kashmiris were determined to take the liberation struggle to its logical end, at all costs.

She also condemned the killing of a 10th class student, Zahid Farooq of Brain Nishat area of Srinagar by Indian troops, crackdowns on innocent civilians and use of brute force on peaceful demonstrators. She added that New Delhi would not succeed in suppressing the ongoing movement through such tactics.

Yasmeen Raja appealed to the United Nations and international human rights organisations to take notice of massive human rights violations in the occupied territory by the troops and put pressure on India to come to the negotiations table to resolve the Kashmir dispute in the larger interest of the people of South Asia.

She also welcomed the announcement of APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, to conduct a march towards the United Nations Military Observers Group (UNMOG) at Sonawar to seek world intervention on Kashmir. »
