Troops’ indiscriminate firing injures dozen youth in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 30 (KMS):  In occupied Kashmir, Indian paramilitary troopers opened fire on peaceful protesters and critically injured a dozen youth in Srinagar, today. A large number of people took to streets in Chanapora and Natipora localities of Srinagar and were protesting against the continued atrocities being committed by Indian troops and policemen in the area.

As the protesters began to march towards the Airport Road, paramilitary troopers opened fire, injuring a dozen protesters including identified as Mohammad Iqbal Khan. The injured were admitted in different hospitals while Mohammad Iqbal Khan was in critical condition.

As the news of the firing on protesters spread in the city, hundreds of people came on streets and raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.

Elsewhere in Srinagar and the rest of the Valley life continues to remain on a standstill as authorities have imposed undeclared curfew in several cities and towns.
