Srinagar, March 31 (KMS): In Srinagar, the occupation authorities have placed senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani under house arrest for indefinite period.
Earlier, Indian police arrested Syed Ali Gilani from his Haiderpura residence on Monday after five days of his arrival from New Delhi and shifted him to Hamhama police station. However, he was put under house at night.
The senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader had come out of house and was intending to go to express solidarity with relatives of illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in jails of occupied Kashmir and India when Indian police told him that he couldn’t come out of his house but he insisted on his visit. Police arrested him and shifted to Hamhama police station, but at night he was shifted to his residence and put under house arrest.
Heavy contingents of Indian police personnel have besieged the residence of Syed Ali Gilani and no one is being allowed to meet him. »
