Jammu, May 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the District Magistrate, Samba has imposed restrictions upon the procurement, storage, sale and stitching of army combat dress cloth and readymade combat dress in the district.
All authorized persons private/ firm/shops dealing in such articles shall immediately inform in writing to the nearest police station the fact of their carrying on this occupation within seven days from the date of issuance of this order.
It shall be mandatory for all the authorized firms/ shops dealing in such articles to maintain register giving details of the items received with quantity, date of sale, items sold, quantity of the items sold and the address/ identity of the purchasing party. All such firms shall sell such articles only to the Indian troops after verifying from their identity cards and also note down the names and the unit number of the latter on the register.
An officer of the police of the rank of ASI and above has the authority to check and inspect such registers on routine as well as for the purpose of investigations and enquiries. This order shall remain in force for a period of two months from May 24, 2008.
