    Solidarity with political prisoners; IHK Bar boycotts courts

    Srinagar, February 07 (KMS): The High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir boycotted the courts on Tuesday as a mark of solidarity with the political prisoners languishing in various jails.

    The spokesman for the Bar Association in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the occupation authorities were prolonging the illegal detention of Kashmiri political prisoners and were not release them despite the court orders.

    He said now the detainees were being shifted from Srinagar Central Jail to outside jails only to add to their agonies and of their families.

    The spokesman said that the Bar Association would also boycott the courts on February 11 as a mark of solidarity with the martyrs of Kashmir. The day is also the martyrdom anniversary of prominent liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt.
