Srinagar, December 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Shopian victim family has decided to fight against the charge-sheet framed by Indian Central Bureau of Investigation. The charge-sheet also included a member of the victim family, Zahoor Ahmad, besides lawyers and doctors.
The CBI report charged Zahoor Ahmad for threatening and coercing the witness to make false statement to implicate Indian troops in double rape and murder case.
The Shopian victim family has decided to challenge the CBI report about the tragedy. “We have spoken to Majlis-i-Mashawarat and Shopian Bar Association and we have been assured of full support,” said Asiya’s another brother, Shakeel.
Zahoor Ahmad said that the CBI had framed him and other 12 persons including lawyers and doctors. He said that the CBI team summoned him to Humhama police station, where it was camped, and interrogated for eight hours.
“As if the tragedy of rape and murders was not enough for the family, the CBI added salt to their wounds. Instead of bringing the real culprits to book, it framed the victims itself,” said the local people. »
