London, April 16 (KMS): The Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl has emphasised that the international community must play a pro-active role in addressing the human suffering in occupied Kashmir.

Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl in a statement issued from London, called for sending a United Nations fact-finding mission to the occupied territory to investigate the unprecedented human rights violations by Indian troops.

Professor Shawl strongly condemned the use of force by Indian police on the peaceful protesters in Srinagar on Tuesday, when they were marching towards the office of United Nations Observers’ Group to present a memorandum on human right violations. He appealed to international community to take notice of this savage action.
