Shawl condemns use of force against Kashmiris

London, June 30 (KMS): The Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl has strongly condemned the use of brute force by Indian troops against the peaceful protesters and termed it as one of the worst kinds of state terrorism.

Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl in a statement in London said that such acts would not deter Kashmiris from continuing their resistance against Indian occupation. He also condemned in strong terms the attack on the APHC headquarters at Rajbagh in Srinagar and denounced the brutal torture of the liberation leaders Syed Ali Gilani and Muhammad Yasin Malik and house arrest of APHC leaders Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Nayeem Ahmed Khan.

Nazir Ahmed Shawl maintained that pro-India parties were working on Indian agenda to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir by settling non-Kashmiris in the territory. He urged the world bodies to intervene and stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
