Pro-liberation protests in Srinagar

Srinagar, August 21 (KMS): In Srinagar, thousands of people staged a massive pro-liberation demonstration in Srinagar city, today.

People from all walks of life raising pro-liberation slogans reached the city centre Lal Chowk and staged a massive protest carrying black and green flags. “We are here to give vent to our feelings and show it to the world that Kashmiris want freedom from India,” said one of the protesters.

On the other hand, students from Regional Engineering College, Amar Singh College and different Higher Secondary Schools also staged pro-liberation protests in different parts of the city and raised slogans.

Meanwhile, people staged anti-India protest after an Indian army vehicle hit and critically injured a 6-year-old boy Zahoor Ahmad Dar at Sangam in Bijbehara. “Indian troops have been given a free hand for killing Kashmiris. Some times they open fire on us and some times they hold us by killing us with their vehicles. No action is taken against them for killing innocent Kashmiris, said a protestor Abdur Rashid.
